Dean’s Message

Amer Bader Bin Murdhah
Dean

Dear visitors,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you all to the new website of the College of Engineering and Petroleum (CEP). We hope that you will enjoy browsing our webpages and find it enlightening and fruitful.

The changes that are taking place in our world today, which are accelerating, and the complexity of their areas require the development of goals, strategies and aspirations of organizations and institutions so they can adapt and adjust to the nature and speed of changes in the areas of knowledge, information technology and systems of quality and excellence.

From this point, CEP seeks to keep abreast of the rapid development of knowledge, technology and modernization in order to achieve excellence and leadership, in addition to improve the outputs of education that correspond with the needs of the society and the requirements of the labor market in various fields of engineering and information technology. Therefore, the College works to develop and hone the practical and scientific skills that the graduates need for excellence and competition in public and private sectors at large.

CEP was established in 1996 in Mukalla city, and has six departments: Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Communication, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Engineering. These departments offer six undergraduate programs. CEP is the only college in Yemen that offers B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, which is currently supported by the World Bank under the program of accreditation and academic quality in public Yemeni universities. Through the success of the program, it is going to be generalized on the various academic programs of the College. Therefore, we will obtain the academic accreditation at the national and global levels, which we aspire to achieve in the future.

In conclusion, we would like to thank you again for your visit to our website. We do hope that you keep visiting us, and as always, we welcome your comments and questions.

Best wishes...
